FIRST TRIMESTER WITH BABY #2
Hello everyone!
On this post I wanted to talk about my first trimester with this second pregnancy. I want to talk about symptoms and how i felt, and compare it with my first pregnancy.
So today I'm 16 weeks pregnant. Yay! I'm feeling really good, and I will do a future post about the second trimester, but today lets talk about the first one.
My husband and I tried to get pregnant in October of 2018, and low and behold, I missed my period, took a pregnancy test, and it came out positive. I actually knew I was pregnant before I even took the test. I don't know if its because this is my second one, but I felt more confident on what i felt in my body. Those 2 weeks you have to wait to even take a test are the worst, but if you really pay attention to your body, you will feel some symptoms that could be the cause of pregnancy. Here are some I felt:
1. My boobs didn't get sore but they got HUGE
2. This is a weird one, but I noticed a lot, like A LOT, of ear wax. I did a google search on that, and a lot of other women also said the same happened to them when they got pregnant.
3. I felt pretty tired
4. I did get a little nauseous. Nothing extreme though.
5. Lastly this is something i felt with my first pregnancy, and this made me KNOW i was pregnant even before the test which was, I felt a really warm sensation in my uterus area. It was nothing that hurt. Just a warm tingly sensation in my womb. Let me know in the comments if you felt this as well, or if I'm the only one. haha
Anyways, bad symptoms of my first trimester really started at 6 weeks. I got a heightened sense of smell, and everything smelled horrible to me.We couldn't cook in my house anymore because the smell of food in the air was just disgusting. That also happened with my first pregnancy. To be honest, till this day I cant even look at an onion.
I also had very low energy. Didn't feel like doing anything.I was really lacking motivation to do even the simplest task as brushing my hair. I got no exercise done at all in the first trimester.
Starting at 6 weeks, the real nausea started. I never threw up, thank God, but i did feel VERY nauseous.
My boobs did start to get really sore at around week 7 or 8, and they also continued to grow.
All in all, this first trimester was very similar to my first pregnancy with my son. The only difference was that this time around, I'm in love with fruits. I like any fruit. Where as with my son, and even when I'm not pregnant, I don't really care much for fruits.
If you're reading this and you think you're pregnant or you know you are, just remember that every pregnancy is different, every body is different. You might experience some of the things i mentioned, but if you don't, there is no need to be alarmed. Just trust your body, and trust what you feel.
xo, Sarah
